your room

Here are some pictures of your new room. They were taken at different times, so the furniture has moved around a bit.

Many friends and family have pitched in to help make you feel at home. Abuela Sandy and Auntie Carol helped me wallpaper and make a slip-cover and pillow for an old chair. The crib and changing table are loaners from the Bermans. Our neighbor Abigail gave us the exersaucer and lots of things to play with. The shelves were made for my Uncle Bill when he was a boy. I painted them blue (along with the nightstand) and replaced the drawer pulls with wooden animals that I found on my last trip to Namibia. We have a beautiful animal rug from Gisela, and Aunt Caryna and your cousins have sent you lots of toys and books to fill-up the shelves!

You have a closet full of big boy clothes for when you arrive. Some of the clothes are gifts, but most of them are gently worn and have been bargain buys at Value Village and consignment stores!

I hope you are home soon to claim your space because Tatou and Bindi are getting quite comfortable on your changing table!
